I am a Helsinki-based writer and presenter with two decades of international reporting experience across the Nordic region, Southern Europe and East Africa.
I currently serve as Helsinki Correspondent for Monocle Magazine and Monocle Radio. I am also a regular contributor to Finland’s national broadcaster Yle and to Konfekt, Monocle’s sister title.
Previously, I worked as Rome Correspondent for Yle and spent several years based in Kampala, Uganda, reporting as a freelance journalist. These roles have given me a deep understanding of international affairs, business, design and culture — and the ability to deliver clear, engaging storytelling across borders.
My work has appeared in publications including Kinfolk, SUITCASE Magazine, Politico Europe, the Economist Intelligence Unit, Al Jazeera English and Crafts Magazine. I have also appeared as a live guest and commentator on outlets such as Deutsche Welle and the BBC.
As a presenter, I have hosted live news and current affairs shows on Finnish television, as well as product launches for major international clients in the design sector.
